- Access our optimization services: we may collect details about your guitar gear, pedal configurations, and rig names.
- Create an account or subscribe to Pro: we may collect your name, email address (via Clerk), and transaction details (via Stripe).
- Generate Shared Signal Audits: we collect the specific pedal chain data and analysis results to store them for persistent public access via your shared link.
- Send us an enquiry: we may collect your name, contact details, and information regarding your specific chain query.
What if you don’t provide us with your personal information?
However, if you do not provide us with accurate personal information, we may not be able to provide certain features, such as saving your pedal rigs, sharing reports, processing Pro subscriptions, or providing personalized gear analysis.
How do we collect and hold personal information?
We collect personal information through website forms, account registration via Clerk, and transaction information via Stripe.
Storing personal information:
PedalChain holds information in secure, cloud-based servers and applications. We use industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit.
We generally keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we may retain copies of certain documents on file for up to 7 years.
Why do we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information?
PedalChain collects and uses personal information for:
- Providing optimization services: Customizing signal chain logic and AI analysis for your specific gear.
- Shared Signal Audits: Storing and making available the technical reports you choose to share via a persistent public link.
- General administration: Answering queries, managing your Pro subscription (including billing via Stripe), and resolving technical issues.
Who do we disclose personal information to?
We may share relevant personal information with contracted service providers: Clerk (Auth), Stripe (Payments), and database/hosting providers.
Public Disclosure: If you use the "Share" feature, the pedal configuration and analysis results for that specific rig will be publicly accessible to anyone with the link.
Overseas disclosures
PedalChain use cloud-based services which may store data outside of Australia (for example, data centers in the United States used by our infrastructure providers). Shared Signal Audits are accessible globally.
Accessing and correcting your personal information
You can access and update most of your personal information (including Rig/Board names) directly through the account settings and rig management sections.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Processing
PedalChain uses advanced artificial intelligence models (including Google Gemini) to provide signal chain optimization and tone analysis.
- Anonymized Gear Analysis: Only technical data (pedal names, categories, and order) is shared with our AI processors. No personally identifiable information (PII) is included in these analysis requests.
- Improvement of Services: We may use anonymized, aggregated pedal chain data to further train and refine our internal logic engines and AI accuracy.
Cookies and Website Visiting
When you visit our website, we (and our service providers) collect certain technical data including your IP address, browser type, and device information. This data is used to run the platform, provide analytics, and protect the security of our services.
